Creating or Editing Categories

To create categories in Electric Ease, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Material Vault or Assembly section.
  2. Next, locate and click on "Categories” located in the white navigation bar at the top of the screen.
  3. To edit a category, click the "Gear" icon on the right side of the category or double-click the category row.
  4. To create a new category, click the blue “Create a New Category” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
  5. In the text field provided, enter the desired category name.
  6. Click on the “Save” button to save the category.

 

Like creating tags, be descriptive and consistent when creating categories for better organization and easy items retrieval. If a category doesn't exist yet, it will be created when you enter it.
