How to Add Material Items to a Bid or Takeoff

To add material items to a bid or takeoff in Electric Ease, follow these steps:

  1. When in the “Takeoff” screen navigate to the "Material" section located below the “Assemblies” section of the phase you are working in.
  2. Click the “Additional Material” row.
  3. Click the blue "Add Material" button.
  4. Search for the desired material items using keywords, categories, favorites, or tags.
  5. Select the items you want to add by clicking on them or using the checkboxes.
  6. Click blue "Add Selected Material" button to "Takeoff" add the materials to your takeoff.

 

If you need to add custom materials, first create them in the Material Vault, and then follow the steps above to add them to your estimate.
